What to expect

Booking your cruises……

Once a member you have access to our members only area, where you will be able to view the booking chart for the boats, and therefore know instantly whic boats are available.

You can book online or by phone – your dates will be immediately confirmed by return e-mail. That’s all there is to it!

Arriving at the yard……

Your boat will be available to you on your arrival day from 3.00 pm onwards. So it is entirely your choice what time after this you arrive. Your boat will be ready and waiting for you – there is no need to “sign-in” or even see anyone if you don’t wish to. However during working hours there will be people around if you need assistance.

The boat log……

On board your boat there is a ‘log’ – on your arrival please briefly check the boat over - in the remote possibility that there should there be anything wrong or missing this should be reported in the log.

The log is there for you to record anything you want – please be respectful! On your departure please make a note of any minor things that are amiss, as our turnaround team will refer to it on their arrival.

Your boat……

The boat is equipped with everything you need for your cruise except towels and of course your own personal items. Fuel and water tanks will be full, you should not need to pump out your toilets unless you are on a long cruise, there will be ample gas on board for cooking.

Soaps, shower gel and shampoo are supplied, and a complementary provisions pack will be waiting for you – this includes such things as coffee, tea, milk, sugar, salt and pepper, biscuits, a loaf of bread, etc. This will save you having to bring everything with you!

Your boat is equipped with good quality crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment and all the bedding you need. So you can just enjoy your cruise – not feel as if you’re moving house!

On your departure……

Please return your boat to the yard by 10.00 on the morning of your departure. All you need to do is write any last notes in the log, and lock the boat as you leave. As with your arrival, you are welcome to return the boat any time you wish (within the dates you have booked!) – even if there is no-one at the yard.

Skippering……

We also offer a daytime skippering service, should you wish not to drive the boat yourself at any time. For a reasonable charge your skipper will helm the boat from 09.00 until the boat is moored up for the night – when he will leave you to enjoy your privacy, returning the next morning.
